Guest guest
Hello, i have a question for those who have children who have been diagnosed with verbal apraxia. Do your children have just verbal apraxia or other issues as well? I always hear about children having this along with other issues. My 2 1/2 year old son has recently been diagnosed with verbal apraxia. He doesnt have any other developmental delays or tone issues. he is ahead of his age level in all other areas except his verbal language. His therapists and anyone who has evaluated him are always amazed at how smart he is and say they've never worked with anyone like him who just has the verbal apraxia and not other issues. I was just wondering if anyone else's child just has verbal apraxia and no other problems. my family thinks they just had to diagnose him with something to explain his speech delay but i do believe he has verbal apraxia after all of the research I have done on it. Just looking for others in similiar situations. I have started him on the proefa for a week now but havent noticed any difference as of yet. maybe its too early. Thanks to everyone for your support and help. Jenn
