Guest guest
I've searched the archives and am still unclear, so here is another fish oil question for you... My son who turned 3 in April, dx of apraxia coupled with sensory seeking behavior and hypotonia, began fish oil in February. With one capsule ProEFA, we saw improved concentration and some reduced sensory behaviors with some very minor improvements in speech attempts and production. In March I added a second ProEFA, which we administer in a cup of Apple juice each morning. Again progress has continued but is painstakingly slow. Recently his sensory seeking behaviors have returned with greater frequency. My understanding is the next step is to add the ProEPA capsule. Two to one ratio. Since my delivery method in juice results in lost oils adhering to the cup should I be adding additional capsules? Do you continue to add additional capsules as the child plateaus or is two ProEFA and 1 ProEPA the more appropriate dosage for a young child about 36 lbs? Appreciate any help.
