Guest guest
The Center May 2008 Newsletter The Center, Mt. Arlington, NJ Presents May 2008 Monthly Newsletter This will be the last Newsletter from Mt. Arlington NJ. We said this before but the Building Inspector finally gave all the permits and the work is scheduled to be done by the end of May. Our anticipated moving date is May 29th. However, before that date we expect to move over our smaller items. Some of you volunteered to help us with the move. If you are available either on Memorial Day, May 26th, or Tuesday May 27th and still would like to help us, please reach out to Ms. at ddavis@.... Although the Mt. Arlington location has worked well for us, we will be pleased to be in our new home. The interior has been built to our specifications and our neighbors are pleased that we work with children and people with challenges. It will be nice to be in a location where we will be welcome. Grand Opening Open House To celebrate our move and new location, we invite you to a Grand Opening Open House on June 14th between 1-4 PM. Come share in our excitement for our new home. We will have light refreshments and run a video about our center and The Model of Sound Intervention ®. We will offer discount coupons for some of our services. We will be re-introducing our famous Sound Relaxation Bed. Our new location is 19 State Rt. 10 E, Ste 205, Succasunna, NJ 07876. Our new phone number is 862 251 4637. Summer Sessions The summer season will be here next month. As in past years, our client session times fill in quickly. If you are considering starting sound-based therapy this summer, please consider scheduling sooner than later, because once the time slots are filled, we will be unable to expand the number of clients during any one session time frame. Please contact , our Office Manager, to find out available remaining time slots at npdunn@.... All of our therapies can now be used at home. Once the initial Diagnostic Evaluation for Therapy Protocol (DETP) has be administered, most of the additional testing and protocols can be accomplished over the phone. This allows you the opportunity to receive our sound-based therapies in the comfort of your home or school. With the increasing cost of gas and travel, this opportunity has been greatly received. Of course, this means that the programs available go quickly. To be put on the waiting lists for our home programs, please contact us soon, especially if you wish to have therapy over the summer. Please contact npdunn@.... Summer Interns We have the opportunity for summer interns this year. We can offer 4 hours per day for 3 days per week. Dates would be in June, July, and/or August. Interested interns should have a speech and language, psychology, music therapy, or education background. At least 2 years of college is required. Please contact Ms. at ddavis@... if interested. June AIT At the request of our parents, we have changed the dates of our June AIT to June 16 through the 27th. This fits better into the ending of school and beginning summer sessions for students. If interested in these new dates, please immediately contact at npdunn@... as we only have a few time slots left. FST We have introduced a new home AIT program. The program was developed by a Berard trained practitioner looking for another AIT system. The program has worked very well for our clients and we are pleased to introduce it to our clients. Because the program in computer based, we are able to offer this program to our international clients without the worry of electrical compatibility. Many of our clients have applied for our scholarships and we have offered many thousands of dollars in scholarships to our clients. Please ask for a scholarship application if interested. The client must have received the diagnostic evaluation before applying. Contact npdunn@... for additional information. We recently have been told about the United Health Care Children's Foundation (www.uhccf.org) which provides child health-care grants.
