and has been receiving 99% of his therapy by only me.

He won $2500. and we have already ordered Kaufman Praxis Materials, The

Listening Program CD's for Sensory Integration and Speech Language, GF

play dough for his fine motor skills, and a set of videos from

Communication Scripts including the Sammy Speakwell DVD.

We are also going to get therapy swings to use indoors and several

other much needed items.

Our goal is to get him speaking better, and I just wanted to add a note

here that sometimes activities OTHER THAN direct speech therapy also

help the Verbal Apraxia. (I was not sure if others knew this, but

building on existing cognitive skills also helps to build alternate

neural pathways in the brain. These alternate pathways will be the

means for which your child will learn to speak.)

Anyway, we are so excited for Charlie Hart and we believe that with

this scholarship, we will be able to get a majority of what he needs

for therapy.
