Guest guest
I've worked with 3 therapists for my son, but he was seen by at least 2 others (one or two times), and the PROMPTs used by all of them were the same, or very similar. Definitely close enough to be consistent for the child. > > I was wondering if each therapist does PROMPT therapy in the exact same way- so it would be consistent for the child. Guest guest
Thanks!! So now my question is: Is it ok if he gets oral motor from one therapist (no prompt) and then PROMPT from another therapist...and am I pushing it if even ANOTHER therapist works with him - oral of whatever... What I am aiming for is many times a week PROMPT- but not paying out for private sessions- it becomes a challenge...BUT I want him to get speech therapy at least 3-4x a week. I know NOT to look for regular speech (this won't work on our apraxic kids)but some of these places say they help apraxia yet when I ask if they do PROMPT they say " NO " -so what am I missing here? Are they lying OR do they maybe mean they do oral-motor and just didn't clarify. What else is everyone doing for their children as far a type of speech therapy? Kaufman I have not seen/heard it done anywhere by me as available as option (might be thru private therapists only) Thanks! Guest guest
I am starting PROMPT with my 11 yr old son. Do you think he is to old for PROMPT I know they told me he has alot of bad patterns that he needs to break because the way he was taught by other therapists and the school. Just wondering if I am wasting time?
