Guest guest
My son started at age 3.11. I wish we'd started sooner! He had mostly vowel sounds at the time, under 100 true words and most almost never used and not much that a stranger could say. He didn't like his face being touched initially, but he realized very quickly it was helping and then begged to be prompted! My daughter is starting in three weeks. She'll be 3 in Aug. Technically she's been getting Prompt for about 6 months, but in a home setting and only single sound prompting as opposed to full word prompting. We're starting the private pay therapy this summer because she's transitioning out of EI soon. My son's therapist has reserved back to back slots for us if we can start in June. I'd say give it a try and if it isn't working now it's something you can revisit.
