My son started at age 3.11. I wish we'd started sooner! He had

mostly vowel sounds at the time, under 100 true words and most almost

never used and not much that a stranger could say. He didn't like his

face being touched initially, but he realized very quickly it was

helping and then begged to be prompted!

My daughter is starting in three weeks. She'll be 3 in Aug.

Technically she's been getting Prompt for about 6 months, but in a

home setting and only single sound prompting as opposed to full word

prompting. We're starting the private pay therapy this summer because

she's transitioning out of EI soon. My son's therapist has reserved

back to back slots for us if we can start in June. :)

I'd say give it a try and if it isn't working now it's something you

can revisit.

What is PROMPT, a book, curriculum, theory? Can you give me more info. on this?

Is there a good PROMPT Trained therapist that you can recommend in NJ?
