Guest guest
no, it sounds like that particular MD really sucks and he needed to go out of the room for 15 min to check his class notes from university. Find another one who is supportive of you- they do exist! ________________________________ From: " lucy2max@... Guest guest
I would take a couple minutes and search his name online and see if you can make a complaint or review of his services on a website. I look at these and I'm sure others do too. Don't get discouraged that you went to a bad one. When I moved to Washington, I got out the yellow pages and called a whole bunch of pediatricians and asked their office personnel if they were open to metabolic testing and treatment of autism. I also told them my child would not be getting any more immunizations. It took awhile, but I am proud to say I found him! A really great doctor who was willing to look beyond the diagnosis and test for imbalances in his body. He is an older man, of middle eastern descent, and has a background in endocrinology and treating lead poisoning. He looked at our son's hair tests and told us he was willing to follow my son during our low-dose chelation protocol (Andy Cutler method). He even prescribed MB-12 injections for us. Since we started seeing him, my son has made vast improvements. You have to remember that YOU hire the doctor, he/she is working for YOU, not the other way around. It's going to take some time and effort, but I suggest making a bunch of phone calls to Medi-cal, speech therapists, advocacy groups, and wherever so you can hook up with the best person in the area for your daughter. Focus on what you think she really needs, maybe you want someone who knows about PROMPT therapy? Make sure you know what you are going to ask before you start calling. This means you need to do some research to see what therapies are best for her and WHO specializes in that kind of treatment, and then you can start calling. Driving an hour away might be worth it if you find the right one. Good luck!
