Guest guest
" Is this a case of a naked Emperor or what?! " Well put, it most certainly is! I think it's obvious that it was a one man job AKA " focus group " . > " When I thought more about that website, I was wondering if the person who made it had Aspergers. " > > The reason I highly doubt that is because it's very rare for a " company " that has a " focus group " to consist of only one person. If that is the case and this is the first time anyone gave any " constructive criticism " then that's pretty sad. Is this a case of a naked Emperor or what?! See you suspect there is someone with Aspergers and I suspect there is someone with a dark sense of humor behind this -we can all suspect what the person or company's problem is but the bottom line is that I don't believe they should be creating educational material for children with neurological issues. If the concept is good then they need to hire someone, probably anyone, to go over all their material with a " ARE YOU KIDDING?! " stamp for naming the company Dum Inc, putting the words " dumb " coming repeatedly from the child's head...twice... during a 30 second promo, having a child with neurological damage walk in the mall with the word Duh in back of him as he walks. > > I am shocked that we would be the first to complain -I would have already but never recall when they were looking for a focus group or I would have had a fit back then! I'm also shocked that not everyone would be as offended as I am. > > People with Aspergers may have social issues but in my experience I have not found any I have met to be offensive -we even have one or two parents in this group with Aspergers. (If I were them I would be offended that someone would even assume some insensitive dolt who puts the words " dumb dumb dumb " coming from a " neurologically " damaged or injured or whatever they say child's head did so due to Aspergers! Some people are just insensitive and/or mean and those are the type of people in my opinion who shouldn't be dealing with the public, shouldn't be working with children, no less children with special needs. > > No excuses. > > ===== >
