Guest guest
I'm new to this group. My 2 1/2 yr old daughter was unofficially diagnosed with apraxia (since she is young, the therapist doesn't want to say for sure that's what she has, but she is 99% certain) and based on the inspiring stories I read on here, I ordered some proEFA and have been giving 1 capsule each day. Today was only the third day so I certainly don't expect results yet. But I guess I'm not sure what to look for to know the proEFA works for her. She has been babbling more lately and using 'b' and 'm' sounds with some appropriate words, but she has been doing that progressively for a few weeks due to a great therapist and lots of hard work at home. What kind of things should I be looking for in the next few weeks and months to know if the proEFA is helping her? Was it a gradual or a sudden thing for your child? Was your child saying new words and new sounds or just using the ones they already knew correctly? I am hoping and praying that the fish oil will help her to speak. I'm sure each and every one of you understands how frustrating it can be for both the parent and the child when it is impossible for the child to communicate. She has learned quite a bit of sign language at therapy and that helps, but I look in her eyes and can sometimes see her desperation and it breaks my heart.
