Guest guest
Hi Folks, New here and looking for answers, like everyone else I suppose. I have a 21 month old girl who has no real words that we can make out. She does make some sounds but nothing that we're able to pick out. Our ped sent us an interesting article from Alternative Therapies. It discusses a study done on 187 children who were non-verbal. They were given high levels of fish oil supplements and Vitamin E with some amazing results. The average dosage was 280 mg DHA, 695 mg EPA--both given 1-3 times per day and 400 IU Vitamin E given twice a day. I believe this is the same thing as the SPEAK Supplements. I want very much to try supplements with my daughter but I'm torn b/w the ProEFA/EPA or SPEAK. Any advice, experience, etc. would be greatly appreciated. I did read a post from someone who said their child had seizures while using SPEAK and someone else mentioned possible regression. Well, I must turn of the computer and get some sleep. I look forward to any insights that you could share.
