need help with appeal for magnetic resonance spectroscopy -- anyone had success?

Our insurance company paid for the MRI done on the same day but denied this

(magnetic resonance spectroscopy) test for not being medically necessary. My

son has speech apraxia, dyspraxia and hypotonia.

Has anyone had any luck in resolving a denial for the MRS test?
