Guest guest
June 8, 2009 Dear Martha, California is facing difficult choices regarding budget cuts, but the most recent round of proposals has left California's Early Start program in danger of being eliminated. This crucial program needs your help to be saved! The voting on the budget is expected very quickly, so we need you to TAKE ACTION NOW. Early Start serves children 0-3 years old who have or are at high risk for developmental delay or disability. These services actually reduce the long-term costs of care for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders. But saving Early Start is about more than money - these children deserve the equal access to appropriate education that they are entitled to, and these families deserve the supports they need.
