(VMC) has made a commitment to the County Community to enhance volunteer opportunities and act as a catalyst for effective change.VMC is presently engaged in a community project, effecting Change through - CHAIN - Collaborations Help: Agency, Information & Networking We are inviting your agency's participation. Every year as summer approaches, VMC receives innumerable phone and email inquiries as to activities and programs that are available for youth, families, and seniors. For this particular community project, VMC will be concentrating specifically on the town of town. We are inviting your agency to participate in a free information session at the VMC offices.( Believe it or not, there are more than 125 not-for-profits registered just in that zip code alone) At this two-hour information session, we would ask you to meet and greet your colleagues and share information about the programs, services, and trainings that your agency provides to the community. We would ask that you or a key staff person who is responsible for working with either youth, seniors, or families attend at least one of the three topic sessions. VMC will then coordinate all the information and provide a resource guide which will be available to your agency and the community. So often, in the not-for-profit world, we are unaware of each others' services , training dates and workshops. In many instances, these are offered at little or no cost, and we would like to help you get the word out to interested community members. At the end of the session, the representatives will receive a form to be completed and returned to VMC so that we may better assist you VMC staff will be available to provide information on recruiting volunteers to your agency and expanding your volunteer outreach if you wish. For further information, please contact me at 973-538-7200 (x 17) or email jkobus@.... I look forward to meeting with you and working together in publicizing all the opportunities the not-for-profits provide in town. For thirty-five years, VMC (Volunteer Management Centers) has made a commitment to the County community to enhance volunteerism and act as a catalyst for effective change. As part of this " effective change, " VMC will be hosting a series of informational workshops called CHAINS - Collaborations Help: Agency Information & Networking Series. Not-for-profit agencies that are located in town are the first of many to be invited to this new collaborative effort. CHAINS will link agencies that provide different trainings, programs, and services to the same constituents - either to youth, seniors or families. VMC will help connect these agencies and their distinctive community outreaches to each other as well as encourage collaborative opportunities in joint fund raising, training, community education, and more. As interested community members (parents, students, seniors) contact the volunteer center for programs and trainings, especially during the summer months, VMC will be able to connect these individuals to the service community. VMC will also provide information and tools to aid the agencies in volunteer recruitment. Youth Agencies are invited Thurs., June 26th, 9 - 11 a.m. or 1 - 3 p.m. Senior Agencies - Tues., July 15th, 9 - 11 a.m. or 1 - 3 p.m. Family Agencies- Thurs., July 17th, 9 - 11 a.m. or 1 - 3 p.m. Workshops are sponsored by FirstEnergy Foundation and the Geraldine R.
