Are you a new member?

What types of symptoms does your child have that led everyone to the

apraxia diagnosis? Who evaluated your child? What type of therapy

is your child receiving; also is it one on one and and how often?

What type of placement? Are you happy with progress, IEP?

Did you ever just try fish oils alone before starting speak and if so

what brand and dosage and any results?

You say " no side effects " after 2 weeks...that's not a typical

statement or reason to continue with any supplement as most of us

don't give our children things that are known to cause side

effects. Any positive? Also may want to just do a search on

hypervitaminosis E or K if you are considering giving this stuff to

your child over months or years. Even as an adult -find a doctor

who would advice these dosages -or should I say try. Speaking of

which did your child's doctor approve it? Here's what we found in a

few weeks in this group.

About the carnitine -may want to read up on that too as we've learned

here that you shouldn't use that until your child is tested for

carnitine deficiency because once you supplement you won't get

accurate results and carnitine deficiency can be very serious. If

tested to be deficient we learned here from those that have children

that are you'll probably want to take your child to a geneticist that

specializes in metabolic disorders. Much more about this in the

archives. And you may want to read up on this too starting here:

Have you read The Late Talker book? The methods in that book

published in 2003 have worked for the majority here for close to a

decade...all the methods you are talking about are not in that book.

Not saying they may not be worth exploring if the basics don't

work...but as you say...The Late Talker book advice doesn't cause

side effects. (outside of good side effects!)
