Guest guest
I tried a gummy version from nordic naturals called omega-3 gummies (which taste pretty good) and when I spoke on the phone with who wrote the " Late Talker " book she said this wasn't a good one because it was missing some of the ingredients that are in the Nordic Naturals Omega 3-6-9.??? I'm not sure what your gummies have in them but you?may want to compare the bottles to make sure.??? Have you tried popping it with a pin and putting it in something your son really likes??? My son won't eat it straight but I can nearly always fool him if I put it in yogurt.?? I've also put it in applesauce and added sugar to overcome the taste.?? When I can't get him to do either of those I put it in chocolate milk I make with Hershey's syrup and I put in extra chocolate.?? I've never had him refuse it that way. Good luck, Sue [ ] Has anyone tried Yummi Bears Omega 3-6-9? I know its not fish oil, but we just can't seem to get that in without spilling or dripping or spitting it out...and then we ALL smell like fish all day!! I was wondering if anyone has tried the Yummi Bears. I believe this is flax seed based, which I know hasn't been shown to have the same success as fish oil, but it does have the Omega 6 and 9 which not all the other " better " tasting options bave. Guest guest
We've tried some. Not sure if it was leled " Gummi " or " Yummi " , but they were different shapes, sugar coated, tart taste, with a side taste of " fishy " . We no longer buy them because we did not like the odd taste.
Guest guest
If you want to give your normal developing child a bit of EFAs (with sugar) or a treat for your communication impaired child -then these type of gummies are fine. If one is looking for surges in speech...these formulas are not right- and way too low in dosage. I actually DO like the Nordic fishies because it's encapsulated fish oil but for REAL tastes like an orange gummie -no fish taste at all -but it's pure omega 3 without the 6 -and again the dosage is not enough either. Here's a page from our apraxia.org page fish oils 101 http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=9759 & post=35726 & uid=115029735601#/topic.\ php?uid=115029735601 & topic=7401 =====
Guest guest
I would also make sure that there is no phenylalanine in the product, just in case. > > If you want to give your normal developing child a bit of EFAs (with sugar) or a treat for your communication impaired child -then these type of gummies are fine.
