DRNJ is conducting a parent survey to learn more about what parents experience during the IEP process. Complete the survey. Planning for Effective Involvement of Parents of Students Receiving Special Education Services Register NOW Parent/educator teams will learn a planning process to develop and implement activities that enhance the involvement of parents of students with disabilities. Frequently Asked Questions Can I call an IEP meeting at any time, or do I have to wait for my child's annual review? Under New Jersey code 6A:14-3.7 Individualized education program: (i) Annually, or more often if necessary, the IEP team shall meet to review and revise the IEP and determine placement as specified. Parents are an equal member of the IEP team. If you feel there is reason to meet, then by all means call your case manager and request a meeting! Or better yet, write a letter to your case manager requesting an IEP meeting, as it will obligate your CST to respond to your request in a timely manner.
