Guest guest
Anat Baniel is a psychologist who was trained in the Feldenkrais method by Moshe Feldenkrais. She then went on to train others in the Anat Baniel Method...but based on the Feldenkrais principles. It's kind of like listening therapies and all behind them such as Alfred Tomatis, Guy Berard, and Ayres yet so many types out there today and people don't know the background. Or an even better example for this group due to apraxia -PROMPT -how many know that touch cue therapy was developed and around prior to the apparently inspired by touch cue... PROMPT. I am not sure if the Anat Baniel method is something we ever tried as there may have been principals of it used by one or more therapists as we've gone to so many over the years. This may be an interesting read about Moshe Feldenkrais for those of you looking to explore this method http://home.clear.net.nz/pages/cindyallison/Health-Professional.pdf =====

Guest guest
Please do keep us posted. We had our daughter evaluated by a Feldenkrais therapist trained in the Anat Baniel Method. She was absolutely amazing. She also worked with my father, who suffered a tramatic brain injury and helped him in ways that no one could. We plan to persue this method when we can, however it is not covered by insurance or through the county, so it can become pretty costly. Good luck! Guest guest
hi i would just like 2 give an update on our trip 2 california from ireland with our daughter for the anat baniel method and the results in just 2weeks were amazing. Aine has started 2use her elbows 2bare weight now and her head is in mid line also which she never done before. She was always to one side or the other but now that she is mid line she should be able to lift her head up when she is on her belly on the ground which she has also started to do ever so slightly which is the start of crawling. We are already planning our next trip for febuary and couldn't be any happier with it all. > > > > Anat Baniel is a psychologist who was trained in the Feldenkrais method by Moshe Feldenkrais.
