Guest guest
Question about this item. How does this item help children with apraxia have better expressive language skills? Most children with apraxia have great receptive language or understanding when you ask a question (like the example of a choice of two items). It just seems like a lot of money and time spent on programming choices and conversation into a computer that could be spent with the child in actual conversation. Other than increasing the IQ of the programmer (by trying to figure out how the item works) or increasing the IQof the child (by learningto operate the equipment), I cannot figure out how this item will benefit my child? It just seems a lot easier and cheaper to ask the child to make a field choice of two items presented to him and have him point or gesture and then simultaneously getting him/her to verbalize as well. If I am missing something, let me know. It just seems like an expensive toy to me.
