North/Central NJ Walk Now for Autism

" Through Their Eyes " Walk Kick-off Events

Please join us for brunch on July 26 at the Westwood in Garwood to help

Kick-off the North/Central NJ Walk Now for Autism! This event will be held

from 10 am to 12 noon. At the Walk Kick-off you will learn about Autism

Speaks and how to raise funds for the North/Central NJ Walk Now for Autism

which will take place on Sunday, October 26. This brunch buffet is no cost

to you, but you must RSVP so that we know to reserve a seat for you. You can

Or you can join us at the Bridgewater Marriott on Saturday, July 19 for a

combined Walk Kick-off Breakfast. This event will Kick-off the Walk in

Cranford as well as the Walk in West Windsor. So if this location is closer

to home, or if the date works better for you, please join us in Bridgewater!

Send us your photo or video to be shown at both Kick-offs in the " Through

Their Eyes " video montage. We will be putting together a video montage over

the next few weeks, to present at the Walk Kick-off events. Due by July 1 -

If you would like to see yourself, or your loved one with autism in the

video, please e-mail or send a CD, of the following:

A short video clip of your loved one with autism with a statement about them

or

A short video clip of someone talking about their loved one with autism or

A photo of your loved one with autism with a statement about them

Anyone who will be participating in the North/Central NJ Walk is welcome.

Please invite your friends and family to join you. If you would like your

place of work, school or community group to participate in the Walk, ask

them to join us as well. The Kick-off event is an opportunity for you to

help educate and spread awareness about autism, as well as raise funds to

improve the lives of those living with autism.

The Kick-off program will include an update of Autism Speaks accomplishments

for 2007, and presentations from team captains who will share how they were

successful with their fundraising in 2007. You will leave with fundraising

materials in hand and a sense of confidence about pursuing your goal to

raise funds for research, awareness and advocacy. If you would like to read

Attend the first ever Teen Kick-off. Thursday, July 31, from 5 to 7 pm at

Tony's Cafe in Cranford. RSVP here.

The North/Central NJ Walk will take place on Sunday, October 26 at Nomahegan

Park in Cranford. Check-in time is 12 noon and the 2-mile Walk will start at
