Guest guest
Hi All, My 3 old repeats everything that his brother says. It was ok, in the beginning to hear him talk. But, now that concerns me. Sometimes, he even repeats a question you ask him like - Do you want milk? and he would repeat - Do you want milk? Also, he is very quite at school. Just talks and plays with 3 kids in class. Does not communicate much with the teacher. He started talking about 2.5 years. He had 3 words until then. But at 2.5 he was saying a lot of stuff ( but now looking back, he was immitating or modelling what we said ). He however can answer on his own some questions like - 1. WHat is your name? 2. How old are you? 3. DO you want to go in the car or van? 4. what is your teachers name? etc, ofcourse I had to work on all of the above. I was trying to look this up on the net and found that it was an autistic behaviour referred to as Echolalia. any suggestions Thanks
