Hi

Here is my expeience about stopping fish oils.

My daughter has been on fish oil/vit E supplements for about 3

years. In the meanwhile she has been to speech therapy non stop.

She was never on Speak, just the complete, EPA, Vit E and gamma pills.

Over this last summer I decided to take a break from the

supplements. Anyway I decided to stop all her supplements in June.

In August we missed 3 to 4 therapy sessions and when her therapist

saw her, she blamed her sudden lack of speech to the missed sessions.

She barely got 2 words out and you could not understand her.

It happened so gradually that I have to say I did not notice it at

the beginning.

In the meanwhile her sentitivity to noise came back. She became very

distracted with trucks passing, phones ringing, where she started

covering her ears and screaming turing red. Almost looks like she

was in pain. Something she used to do before we had started her

supplements.

So we realized something was very wrong. We put her back on the

supplements, and sure enough within a week her speech went from 2

words to 5 to 6 words sentences.

Her sensitivity to noise went down tremendously.

On our next therapy session, the therapist was amazed at the

difference than I told her how I had stopped and started it.

She is missing something in her body that the supplements are making

a huge difference.

I am in the process of changing doctors so I can run tests on her to

see whats going on.
