Guest guest
I wrote this on 9/27 Now something else. About Speak. Last night Shyann had the most horrible nightmare she ever remembers having and one that was horrifying to hear. (Her friend found lying face down in the pond, pulling her friend to shore { " I was dragging the weight of a dead body! " } and doing CPR until she spit out mouthfuls of water----Symbolic??) She is day 4 on speak, with only history of proEFA previous. Any thoughts? I think I remember someone talking about night terrors. Any insight appreciated. Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Joy, A few adults as well as a doctor at the time mentioned the EFAs give you " vivid dreams " and to try it yourself- take them right before bed. (they do!) Vivid dreams aren't necessarily bad dreams -but they could be frightening to a child who isn't used to having them because they seem so " real " . We called it " night crying " and not " nightmares " because was the child that woke up crying but he was nonverbal at the time so we only can wonder why. From the archives I wrote there was one other but that's it in close to a decade with thousands of us so not common. But for years I give all my kids dosages at once in the AM not due to night crying but I'd forget to do the second dosage -just too busy. That was a horrible dream Shyann had! That was on the 27th of September I guess first on Speak, On the 3rd you reported the " constant burning " after she takes Speak and headaches " that feel like " whooshing " sensations. Then on the 4th of October you reported again about the burning and headaches as well as her speech being the worst day and it coming out " mangled and garbled " Is Shyann back to being herself now I hope?!!!!! Poor Shyann -that was a horrible dream she had that night. Please give her some huge hugs from me- she's been though so much -last night too on top of everything else. And poor you too going through so much in such a short time. Hugs to you too. Did the links I sent this morning help? How are you holding up? =====
Guest guest
, I was holding up really well until my husband came home and threw everything of mine in the bedroom into Shyann's room and kicked me out of my own bedroom. The police and my sister are mad I didn't press charges (He's never hit me. This was a first assult by beer can) and when the kids got home from school they were wanting me to press charges also. I still have time and I will if he doesn't leave. Funny that Alyssa asked about denial in husbands- mine accused me of causing their illness' to make myself look like a good mom. Shyann's speech is still garbled but I don't expect it to get better until I have her back on EFA's and this time I will add EPA. (Another fun thing- my husband changed the bank account into his name and left me without a way to pay for anything! And I don't work.) So when she's back on I know she will get better. The way she would correct herself, and stopped repeating sentences- better motor planning- and " felt " an awakening going on inside. She was more vibrant, bright eyed, was taking on third grade like a breeze! Now she gets listless, and is really struggling in school. So I know for a fact that a 8.11 year old who has never had fish oils, only 1.5 years private therapy, and only group speech in school can still learn to talk! Wow are the Mom's here really ahead in the game! Getting their kids started so early- I wish I'd been as smart. Thank you so much for your support and your concern. It helped reading your archive- especially knowing someone else has had maritial problems. (but not abuse!) Everyone here helps keep me focused on what's really important! And it's not just our children, but us moms too! Love to everyone, Joy ________________________________ From: kiddietalk <kiddietalk@...> Sent: Wednesday, October 22, 2008 10:35:58 PM Subject: [ ] Re: Sleep and SPEAK (archived message) Hi Joy, A few adults as well as a doctor at the time mentioned the EFAs give you " vivid dreams " and to try it yourself- take them right before bed.
