Guest guest
We can put off topic in the subject if people want...but why is " cassette tape player " off topic? I was thrilled to read a message about a therapy toy. Don't get me wrong we all have our opinions for example on vaccines but after the first 100 messages about vaccines we probably all know them. Is it that people really want " off topic " in the subject or is it (in my opinion) that topics are getting beaten to death on subjects that are the side points? To me it's refreshing to read a message about tape recorders as that's one of the classic therapy toys for a child with apraxia. If posting things like that are now off topic -then Houston we have a problem. =====
Guest guest
THANKS !!! a cassette tape player is NOT off topic...quite the contrary, in fact, now that the holiday season is upon us, and times are getting tighter financially; many of us have therapeutic toys and equipment that we may be in need of or no longer use. this could be the incentive to sell, barter, or trade items useful in our battle to conquer apraxia/dyspraxia. this is the perfect forum to share what has worked with our kids. i for one am tired of hearing about the same topic over and over...we get it! this has turned into the a DeVelbiss blog site. i am aware that she has her own blog, and those who are interested can peruse her site for the valuable information she offers to those who ALSO have autism/ASD issues...but quite honestly i feel that this forum is being held hostage to her postings. i for one have learned so much from this forum, and am saddened to see apraxia questions, answers, and theraputics seemingly disappear into thin air over the last 2 weeks. i love this forum and have made a host of friends, contacts and gleaned more information than i ever thought imaginable! it has helped my kate more than any doctor has done. i hate to not check this site daily, but sadly i have reach my upper level of tolerance with regard to recent postings. we can not live in a bubble, and it seems poisons are everywhere...it is fostering conspiracies, anxieties, and fears that are misplaced in a group focused on helping kids with apraxia and looking at the POSITIVE...i am hopeful everyday for kate, and quite honestly it had become a huge " downer " to visit this site. it is not as simple as hitting the " delete " botton when there are 6-7 posts back-to-back-to-back that are not related to treating and helping our kids find their voice. i do not mean to cause outrage, i just would like to see us on the road we were on when i first joined the forum, and i am sure that there are many who feel the same. maybe Ms.a DeVelbiss will direct those who are interested to her blog, or quite possibly create her OWN forum for those interested as she does have a lot of information to offer, just not here and more specifically not to me. Respectful Thanks, Kris Justice > > We can put off topic in the subject if people want...but why > is " cassette tape player " off topic? I was thrilled to read a > message about a therapy toy.
