Guest guest
My mother-in-law bought the series for my son, but he has absolutely no interest in it at all. The trial period should be enough time for you to see if he likes them or not. Guest guest
I haven't used them much but I do have the entire set which we received as a gift.??? I do have to say I am not impressed at all with them.???? I don't like how the words they chose on the first dvd are such long words (like elephant for instance).???? I also don't find it realistic that they don't use a font on many of the words that mirrors the way children typically are taught there letters in school.?? Maybe there is some reasoning behind this.??? But like a " G " for example wouldn't necessarily be written the way you would see it it might be a loop on top and bottom like you'd see on certain types of fonts.??? My apraxic son is 2 years 4 months and the video I have seen him respond to over over is Babby Babble.?? I purchased it on Amazon.com.??? I personally find it boring but both of my kids enjoy watching it and I hear my apraxic son repeating back the sounds which isn't something he does very easily.??? I play it in the car quite often and I found it very helpful in encouraging his sound production.??? I also like the Bounce Video about Hello (can't remember exact title) done for autistic children but as my son isn't able to say the words that are on it because he hasn't gotten those words yet and I don't think he is quite ready for it. The Baby Einsteins First Sounds dvds have been pretty good also but not as good as baby babble.??? The first time I played one my son responded to it. I'll be interested to hear if anyone likes the your baby can read dvds as I might need to give them another try! Sue [ ] your baby can read dvds? has anyone used these dvds : your baby can read? ? my son is 2 and a very visual learner.? he learns so much better from something on the screen even though he is coming around to looking at me more. ? i have looked into ? baby bumblebee ? teach2talk ? and now im looking into your baby can read since they offer a 15.00 30 day trial. ? ? any advice? sharon
Guest guest
I purchased these for my son and he had no interest either. The father in the video taught his daughter using the Doman method with cards. I taught my son using a computer program I bought off ebay. Super cheap and easy. I think it cost $5. It's called prodigy reader and comes with the math dots program as well. My son has been reading since the age of 3 and now is a voracious reader at age 5.
