Guest guest
So, I was reading my latest copy of US World News and Report which came in the mail today and I see in the letters to the editors section a comment about a clinical trial involving vitamin E and selenium being stopped because of a statistically significant finding that the men in this study taking the vitamin E and selenium actually had increased risks of diabetes (selenium) and prostate cancer (vitamin E). So, then I read your posting below and had to respond with those who are interested in reading further. For the article in US World NEws and Report http://health.usnews.com/articles/health/cancer/2008/10/23/the-latest-thinking-o\ n-preventing-cancer.html For the news release on this huge study being halted and why http://www.cancer.org/docroot/NWS/content same as above but also includes interesting comment about need for well controlled trials in order to collect scientific data resulting in discovering potential harm in some supplements. http://www.hemonctoday.com/article.aspx?rid=32350
