Guest guest
I posted about my son drooling and sensory issues flaring, and I decided to stop fish oils and slowly restart until I figure out where the problem is. His last dosage was Monday, and I'm now seeing better focus, less input seeking, less drooling (still there occasionally). The real test will be when he has his session on Tues. I was expecting a huge regression, and I haven't seen it. I'm hearing a few of his words/sentences a little more shortened or slurred, he's not quite rounding his lips for his oo/ oh sounds, but with a quick prompt he will do everything right, but otherwise the difference isn't incredibly noticable. Now I wonder... His first sentence came a few days after starting Speak, and I've seen nothing but progress since then. Obviously, the therapy (3x/ week) has never stopped, so I'm not sure whether the word explosion was the fish oil or if everything 'clicked' one day, or a combo of both. If the posts I've read say that regression takes place in 2-3 days and it's been this mild, what are the chances it'll get much worse?
