Hi Everyone! I am new to this group. Loving all the topics that are

discussed. It helps out tremendously. My son Jordan has apraxia.

He is 3 years old. He is in ECSE at our local school. We recently

had an IEP and it was horrible. They took away a lot of services he

needs. How can they define completed a goal when certainly he has

not. My child is not potty trained (especially BM) and they say he

has completed his goal. One of his other goals is fine motor

skills. (they wont give hims OT though) They say he can hold a

tripod grasp, which i have never seen it or anyone else that works

with him outside the school has seen it. He has sensnory problems(i

got him privatly tested) and they say he doesnt have problems. They

say they dont see that in the classroom. They also say they can NOT

put 1 on 1 on 1 in the IEP. There is not room for it in the IEP .

They have totaly decreased his minutes and i jjust dont know what to

do. he use to go to school 3 hours a day 5 times a week. now he

only goes 1 30 minutes a day 4 days a week. I feel that we need to

increase goals or do something. they say if they did he would be at

a 6 year old level which is untrue. He is not nearly close to what

the other kids his age is. Can you guys please help of give me

advice. '

Just another note, if anyone lives in the St.louis area let me know

also if there are any support groups etc.

Thank you

Casey
