That's true - we do have to do things we are afraid of sometimes. But I

really don't trust the school district we live in. We had some truly

horrible experiences with my older son. He spent K through 2nd grade in

a class with a child who had so many issues - this child actually cut

his teacher's assistant with scissors. He spit on kids, hit them,

including my son, kicked, stomped, threatened, you name it. Choking was

his favorite thing. And for years, no matter how many times I addressed

this issue with teachers, the princple, even the school board, they let

this child stay. It wasn't until the school experienced a huge growth

in student population did they decide not to renew his transfer -- yeah,

TRANSFER student! So I don't trust them to use the best judgment with

, who is far less independent and way more defenseless than Blake

was. The more I think about Blake's experiences, the more I'm

remembering why I started homeschooling and broke away from these people

in the first place.

So - that's it. Thinking out loud, writing here, getting good advice

and thoughts from you guys and some other sources, I've decided -- no

special preK classes for . One on one or private... now to

figure out how to make some $$$ :-)
