Guest guest
As mentioned earlier, I stopped giving my son fish oils, and he had his bloodwork done. Although I don't have those results yet, as expected, his sensory issues have completely disappeared, but I'm noticing the differences in his speech as well. Both therapists have also noticed the difference (although slight when he's focusing during speech) and both agreed that it's better to get the speech back to normal and we can figure out the sensory later. When I originally started oils, I didn't follow the 'start with EFA, add EPA, etc' directions because I was accepted into the Speak trial. I started the Speak, upped it to 4, then jumped directly to 4 EFAs, 2 EPAs. I need to know what to do now. Do I go back to starting at 1 EFA and building slowly (perhaps sensory issues will be milder if I start small?) or do I go straight back to 4/2 EFA/EPA? I'm hoping to find out the test results within the next week and am trying to find a local dr/ nutritionist who can meet with me and get to the bottom of everything (preferably one who is covered by insurance...). Any advice for restarting would be great. I'm not really sure what to do next. Thanks in advance - you guys are wonderful for answering these kinds of questions.
