Guest guest
Hi , Sorry it has taken me a bit to answer you, it has been a crazy week. Our push for private placement is getting harder as we are now faced with Due Process.. Long story I will share our story oneday when it is over.. Yes, to your question we have now decreased 's seizure medication twice now. The last time we had labs done he was at a very low blood level and now we have dropped them twice. I am sure his levels are subtheraputic at this point. I spoke with Matt's Neurologist today and he agrees that there must be something to it but just to keep him posted at this point. I did ask how long he would like Matt to be seizure free before we start to decrease all seizure meds, his answer was six months. We are almost there!!!! Two more months...........Yippy....I am so optimistic..... When we spoke before I did start Matt back up on Nordic Naturals 3.6.9 complete. I am giving his 3000 mg daily, recomended daily dose is 1000mg. 's is a lot mellower. Happy belated Mother's day to you too. Alyssa what a Happy Mother's Day update!!! CONGRATULATIONS! !! I honestly think you should start a blog because this is just so exciting and we all feel like we are going through this with you. I am talking in private with , a parent from Oregon who is in the exact same situation as you and your story just like Mel's and all the other blogs inspire others and bring hope. Or could you write something special for our testimony page documenting this? http://pursuitofresearch.org/testimonials.html The other night I was watching Bill Maher and he had Silverman on saying how when she was 14 her doctor kept raising her Xanex until she was eventually on 4 pills 4 times a day -so 16 Xanex a day -at 14 years old (that seems crazy high to me but I don't know much about Xanex) I guess with some it's the same with seizure meds they can go up and up- that's what happened with Mel too prior. Good to know that what goes up- not will go down on it's own..but with a little help from nutriiveda can go down, did go down twice now for !! Mel's meds are also lowered quite a bit and her doc think's she'll be medication free by the end of this year (more detail here http://littlemermaidmelanie.wordpress.com ) -any word from Matt's doc on what's going on with Matt being seizure free for 14 weeks and if he believes it's possible Matt will be med free too? =====
