Read the archives. Children on this list have had bad reactions to this. It has

a very High E and I think K vitamin higher then most adults take. Some children

regressed and had seizures. I would read the archives and talk to your Dr.

before giving it to your child. My daughter got the free stuff during the trail

period but once the children start having problems never used it. My

granddaughter is doing great on the fish oils and speech therapy.

Do your research first.

Hi-

My daughter is doing great on speak. She is nearly 4, 39 lbs, and I give her 2

doses per day (4 capsules total) PLUS an additional 400mg of vit E d-alpha. I

see a dramatic difference in her sensory issues so she needs the extra vit E.

There are no clinical trials so that's just our experience. It has been a

miracle for us though. We currently are visiting with family that we haven't

seen since last summer and they are absolutely amazed with her! My cousins is a

speech therapist and says she has no speech issues any more. She first assessed

Kitty at 15 months and then every 6 to 12 months after that and is amazed at her

progress.

Good luck!

we just started our daughter on this (her neuro-dev ped suggested it)...on day

three and the most i can say at this point is its very hard to get her to take

it...the fish oils and vit e combo in various forms were a disaster - it all

ended up anywhere and everywhere but in her mouth, so hopefully this will be

easier.

I have not posted here in awhile. It was hard to read all the side effects of

this product. I just stuck to proefa and am glad I did. I did add some proepa

and never felt right giving my child extra vitamin e as there is already some in

the proefa and proepa and didn't want to give too much. I felt so sorry for all

of you who have had children with side effects on this product speak that I had

to step back. I can't believe this stuff is still on the market and the last

word I would use to describe it would be easier. Please read this that I found

in the link section. Kate

Hi ,

My son is four and half has been on Speak for about 6 months. He takes

2 pills a day... Well I squeeze oil out and put on a spoon. We learned

he has moderate apraxia in December and started Speak in about march.

My son is also deaf and has bilateral cochlear implants. In about 1

month after starting the pills several different people commented on

the improvment of the clarity of his speech. I can't say for sure the

pills made all the diffrence but they did seem to give him a boost.

The difference was noticeable.

The only adverse effect in the beginning was a little loose stool and

stinky gas. But that has worked itself out.

During vacation I have slacked on giving it to him and I noticed a

regression in the clarity of his speech.

I know of 2 other moms at my sons oral deaf school who have given to

their sons and seen noticable imporvements.

I spoke to my son's doctor and showed her the package, she thought it

was a good idea to give it to him. Her only suggestion was to stop the

pills 2 weeks before a surgery.

Hope this helps.... Let me if you have any other questions.

Good luck,

My son was on a high dose of vitamin A. I cherish my son's light brown curls,

but the vitamin A made my baby hair fall out. That is a major sign of vitamin

toxicity! I would really read about it before starting with any vitmains like

D,E,K, or A that are fat soluble! Water solubles are better for kids because the

chance of over doing it is way less.

Read the warning signs because I didn't notice my son's hair until I was

struggling to keep it from falling out any more.
