Guest guest
Hi- I am from Iowa and my son is 8 with juvenile diabetes, apraxia, mild autism and he is doing great. We have a lot of food issues and some restricted interests which make it difficult for him to study but we are working on it. Wisconsin is a very pretty state. Guest guest
Hi , I am mom to 4 yr old son with apraxia.? He has been in speech therapy since age 2.? Since that time, he has had tubes put in his ears, tongue clipped due to being tongue tied and yet after all of that, he still has difficultly speaking.? His therapist has diagnosed him with apraxia.? He is also a type one diabetic with asthma.? He's has had more than his share of medical issues, but remains tough and very sweet.? We do experience a great deal of acting out and temper tantrums however.? Especially when he doesn't get his way, but also because he can't say exactly what he wants to say when he is angry.? We do not live in Wisc, but I am from there.? I have a great deal of network possibilities for you depending on where you live.? I am from and my family still lives in Chippewa Falls/ Eau area.? Let me know how I can be of help. Sincerely, Susie....mom to Avery 5, Zachary 4, Audrey 2 and and Juven yet to arrive from the country of Haiti [ ] Looking for support group in WI Hi Everyone- My daughter, 4.5 yo, was diagnosed with moderate-severe Apraxia at around 18 months. She has now entered 4K and I worry a lot about her future school years, as they will be very difficult for her and me as I will have to watch her struggle. She is starting to say 4 word sentences but she still has LOTS of frustration, thus lots of tamtrums. I'm looking for anyone from Wisconsin that has gone through the stages of Apraxia before or are experiencing them now. I am interested in starting a support group in or around my city. And eventually, it would be nice to have a Walk-A-Thon around here too to get the word out about Apraxia. Just knowing someone close to " home " is experiencing the same situation as me would bring be lots of comfort and support. So any help from Wi would be greatly appreciated. Please email me direct at crazy4angels2@... Thanks much! , mom to Chloe(4.5 yo w/moderate to severe apraxia),and Mara(3 yo, no problems)
