At drugstore.com you can find a " high gamma E " that contains 200 IU alpha

and 200 mg gamma.

http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=79195 & catid=1682 When we

used vitamin E we used to give this along with a separate 200 IU alpha.

Before starting the Speak I'd suggest asking your doctor as it also contains

vitamin K. I know some kids here had big problems on it, but I beleive they

were also taking a lot higher dosages than what your doc suggested.

The Vitamin Shoppe also carries a high gamma that has slightly more gamma

and 400 IU of d-alpha, but that is higher than what your doc wanted.

My son worked up to 400 gamma and 800 IU alpha, but my son was 6 yrs and

around 60lbs (two of the high gamma capsules and one 400 IU d-alpha

capsule). His doc felt that was fine for him. During the time we were on E

and fish oils (we had done fish oils on and off for two years prior without

leaps) he made amazing improvements. He started resiting taking the

supplements after about 7 months and we decided to take a break after about

8 months. He hasn't regressed!

Thank you so much! I don't know if I was just on overload or tired, but I could

not find anything lastnight! I'll be placing an order and starting as soon as it

arrives!

Hi,

Actually in 2 capsules of SPEAK you get 500 IU of d- alpha and 200 IU of gamma

tocopherol (Vit E).

If you go to their website it tells you specifically how much of each supplement

is in 2 capsules.

So maybe you don't have to add any additional Vit E!! My son takes 2 capsules

SPEAK and I add 2 Nordic Naturals Omega 3-6-9 and 1 Pro EPA.

I would add more of the SPEAK, but I don't want to give any more Vit E.

could I just add the gamma from a seperate capsule? Would this be the same as

giving him 1 part alpha and 1 part gamma, just the SPEAK contains EFAs and

Vitamin K?

This vitamin would meet your needs if you give two capsules

http://www.carlsonlabs.com/product_detail.phtml?prodid=dd753803 & categid=0001.

This Vit E was one of the ones recommended on the Marilyn Agin, MD website

(www.dbpny.com/nutrition.html. I just ordered it today to give alongside the

fish oils.

Some moms claim their children had seizures after taking SPEAK.
