Guest guest
My son , who is 4, had his last speech evaluation in June of last year. The results were so poor that I had to take a day off work to pull myself together! He was only in the first percentile for articulation and tested below average in all of the expressive categories. Following that evaluation, we started fish oils in July and then added Nutriiveda to his diet in January. Improvements were stunning after the oils and then really stunning after the Nutriiveda. All Winter, I've been waiting and waiting for our SLP to give his yearly speech evaluation. And finally the day has come and the results are in! And I'm sooo beyond ecstatic to report has made HUGE progress in all areas! Particularly in vocabulary and expressive language (receptive was already average, if not above). Last year, demonstrated 63 errors during testing and this week he had only 34 errors! His SLP says he has doubled his expressive language! Here is a summary of his performance this year: (For Standard Scores the " Average Range " is considered anything between 115 to 85....with 115 being the high-average range and 85 being borderline-average.) Language Assessment Overall Receptive Language (Comprehension): Standard Score: 99 Percentile: 40th Severity: Average Range Overall Expressive Language: Standard Score: 95 Percentile: 35th Severity: Average Range Expressive Vocabulary Labels: Standard Score: 112 Percentile: 79th Severity: Above Average Range Vocabulary Comprehension: Standard Score: 106 Percentile: 66th Severity: High Average Range Articulation/Speech Assessment: Standard Score: 75 Percentile Rank: 7th Severity: Moderate Articulation Disorder Only in the 7th percentile for articulation, but a big improvement for last year when he was placed in the 1st percentile. And look at those vocabulary scores! 79th percentile in expressive vocab. Maybe this year, I'll a day off to celebrate?!?!?
