,

I agree with . It is usually advisable to only start one new item at a

time. Has your child been on the other supplements for a while or are they

new? If your holistic doctor does not see any difficulties with the

combination of ingredients, then it sounds like you are fine. I would

recommend deferring to his expertise with the other supplements. As

stated, the NV is a food and should not interfere.

Warmest wishes,

Hi , there are no known contradictions with nutriiveda however in

general based on feedback it does appear that unless your child is tested to

need a particular nutrient above what is in nutriiveda you may see more

dramatic results with just nutriiveda. The only exception are the fish oils

which contain the essential fatty acids which are not in nutriiveda and

appear to compliment beautifully the essential amino acids and nutrients

from whole food sources in nutriiveda.

Most of us see the surges once we start our child on nutriiveda in one day

to three days. Are you able to stop the other supplements for just a week

say and try nutriiveda alone and see what you notice? You can always add the

others back but you may want to check against the nutrients already in

nutriiveda. (you can check here

http://pursuitofresearch.org/ingredients.html ) The difference between just

supplementing individual nutrients vs getting nutrients from whole food

sources is that it's not just getting the child to consume the nutrients

-but knowing the body is able to best utilize/digest it. This is why whole

food sources of nutrients are the purest way of getting nutrients into the

body because they are balanced and contain all that is needed to best help

the body utilize all in it.

With nutriiveda we need to examine the main reasons why we believe it's

" working " I'm thinking two main reasons are probably the essential amino

acids and nutrients from whole food sources -including " slow growing "

vegetation. Putting these together is creating surges we have never seen

before with any one of the ingredients (whey isolate protein or whole food

nutrition) taken independently.

But back to nutrients from slow growing vegetations as found in nutriiveda.

Each ingredient in nutriiveda is certified 100 percent a food by the FDA and

is tested free of any heavy metals, herbicides and pesticides. As you can

imagine there are many things we consume in the way of fresh fruits and

vegetables where we don't know if that's the case.

For all fruits, veggies (including these from the store Whole Foods

http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=JQ31Ljd9T_Y has everyone seen this?!!)

not tested today we should be aware of the possibility of lead in regards to

any vegetation because of the following study (from an archive)

" I learned from speaking with one of the first researchers in the lead area

that lead in the soil will be present in all aspects of the vegetation (keep

that in mind when planting tomatoes and perhaps if you live in an area where

you are not sure of what's in the soil planting in a pot with planting soil

may be an option)It's also pretty documented now that at times even low

levels (below 10) can cause IQ changes in children...and " additional

increase in blood lead from 10 to 30 micrograms per deciliter is associated

with only a small additional decline in IQ "

" Canfield is a senior research associate at Cornell's Division of

Nutritional Sciences (Photo courtesy Cornell) " In this sample of children we

find that most of the damage to intellectual functioning occurs at blood

lead concentrations that are below 10 micrograms per deciliter, " said

Canfield of the Division of Nutritional Sciences at Cornell

University and primary author on the study.

The amount of impairment attributed to lead exposure was much greater

than the researchers had expected, and they found that the amount of

impairment attributed to lead was most pronounced at lower levels.

An additional increase in blood lead from 10 to 30 micrograms per

deciliter is associated with only a small additional decline in IQ,

the scientists discovered.'

It's extremely difficult as well to find a 100 percent casein free whey- you

just can't walk into a store and purchase something like that either. But

again we know it's not the whey alone anyway due to the amount that had

their child on whey isolate for months or years prior to nutriiveda, some

reported some surges, and then with dramatic surges on nutriiveda. Is it the

turmeric/curcumin which accelerates what's needed as it does other things as

is written on the parent doctor theory page here

http://pursuitofresearch.org/science.html

But after saying all of that- honestly nobody knows for sure yet why this

particular blend of product is creating the dramatic surges across the

board. For sure you don't need any multi with it. But being there are so

many nutrients in it and all from whole food sources, again the purest form

-again I'd say to stop whatever is not medical necessary and just give it a

shot for a week. Ask your holistic ped if that's OK. Again can always add

the others back if needed.

Again NV is working pretty much for all -and with the basics of good

hydration and some added fish oils- that's it.

Hope that helps!
