My 3 1/2 year old has been dealing with apraxia and sensory

processing disorder and we've had a wonderful breakthrough with sound

sensitivity. The Therapeutic Listening program we used (we used it

off and on for about 1 year) had the added benefit of significantly

decreasing her sensitivity to sounds. We've stopped using it now for

about 4 months and so far no regression, but during the year we often

did when we tried stopping it for a while. There were other

benefits to the program but that was the largest, most noticeable

side effect.

-did you use the listening program on your own by purchasing it yourself?

or did your ot do the program with you. There was so much controversy here

before about using it at home(even though many parents said they had great

results) as opposed to having your therapist manage it. Cheryl
