The IECA Summer Training Institute was held on the campus of Swarthmore

College from August 5-9, 2009. (IECA is the Independent Educational

Consultants Association.) Stimulating classes ran from Wednesday afternoon

until Saturday evening and all sorts of useful networking occurred in the

College Advising for Students with Learning Differences

While we don't usually get to live on campus, Holly and I do attend

informative events of this sort to serve our College Admissions clients. We

routinely go to conferences established by excellent sponsors, including

NJACAC (New Jersey Association of College Admissions Counseling) and NACAC

(National Association for College Admission Counseling). We also make

numerous visits to college campuses and have frequent discussions with

college officials.

Please feel free to call or write if you think a further conversation is in

order.
