We have two big announcements

First off, we are happy to announce that Shaw will be taking over the

role of CIP's National Director of Admissions. The position was formerly

held by Caroline Wheeler who served as Admissions Director for the past

seven years and assisted in the growth of our four national centers.

brings with him a wealth of experience and we are excited to have him on

board.

CIP National Admissions Director

Shaw has over 35 years of experience working with adolescents and

adults, both in admissions and administration in New York, Connecticut and

Massachusetts.

Initially joining CIP during the fall of 1998 as Admissions Director,

has served as Program Director for the past 8 years at the Berkshire Center.

He has spoken at local, state and national conferences and has been

published in The American School Board Journal.

of services to young adults with Learning Differences who wish to achieve

success in college.

Offered as an alternative to CIP's comprehensive programs, CSP provides

individualized social, academic and independent living support in tandem

with college courses at 1 of 3 local colleges. Students enjoy a small

college experience with a community of peers while working towards their

college degree.

CSP's Buffalo location will accept both supported apartment living and day

students and will officially open in August of 2010.

We welcome Lawler as Program Director of CSP. Her long-term experience

in teaching, program development and special education, combined with her

familiarity of the Buffalo area, make her the perfect fit.

Lawler has over 28 years of experience in the fields of education and

psychology. She has worked in the public school sector as a teacher, a

school psychologist and director of special education for 8 years.

Prior to her role with the College Support Program, was a Founding

Director of the Gersh Experience. Her preparation for her career in

education includes a Bachelor's of Science degree in Secondary Social

Studies Education and a Master of Arts degree in School Psychology from the

State University of New York at Buffalo.
