Did he take your son as in abducted? Or does he sole custody? Or do you

have shared custody? I would call legal aid in your state, but if he took

the child and wont return the child that is very serious, especially if the

child is in need of medical attention such as therapy.

I live in Charlotte, NC and we have a Children's Law Center here.

Check to see if there is one in where you are. Also, you should go to

the courthouse and go to their Victim's assistance office. They can

help you file an order for emergency legal custody. Legal Aid often

won't assist when there is a custody battle, but if there has been

domestic violence, I think they will help. You might also try your

local Domestic Violence Center/Shelter - they often times have

advocates or lawyers who help women in your situation.
