We have an IEP through the school but I was looking for the type of doctors

to get a medical diagnosis in case something needs to be done through the

insurance. I'm currently looking through a neurologist through my medical

plan but I'm not sure if others went to different type of doctors besides.

and I don't know what a SLP is.

thanks

I would look for a neuropsychologist for a dx. We went to several neurologist

and developmental pediatricians and none of them dx my son with apraxia. The

neuro psyche did a 6 hr evaluation with my son and 4 with me and I came out with

a wealth of knowledge and suggestions that we incorporated into school and home

ABA therapy.

SLP stands for Speech and Language Pathologist
