My boys can't wait to go see Toy Story next weekend. Glad to hear you loved

it...

I hope all are enjoying their Father's Day. Just popped in and wanted to share a

suggestion on the importance of toys and play for therapy...in honor of also

seeing the movie Toy Story 3 which to me is the best animated movie you will

ever see. I actually laughed out loud and also cried at the end -what a touching

and beautiful movie -just brilliant.

So to also support the importance of toys I just answered Nibby about how to

help her child with therapy at home when you don't have enough professional

therapy for your child:

Sometimes being the therapist, starting the therapy group seems like more work

-but trust me -it may take more time but will relieve some of your frustration

too -at least that's what I found. Here's some for example " things to do at

home " I wrote for a Contemporary Pediatrics article

http://contemporarypediatrics.modernmedicine.com/contpeds/data/articlestandard//\

contpeds/492004/136315/article.pdf Contemporary Pediatrics is the trade magazine

for hundreds of thousands of medical professionals in the US. Also you may want

to pick of a book called The New Language of Toys which shows how you can play

with regular toys and increase speech...so in other words just more creative

ways of playing with your child to help.

(Nibby is from the UK so if anyone can help her advocate that would be awesome!

Here is a preview of Toy Story 3- I recommend 3D as well

don't like it you have my permission to throw buttered popcorn at me
