Guest guest
We have United Healthcare as well. They have given us nothing but a hard time throughout my son 's apraxia diagnosis and treatment. If I was a rich person (and didn't have to work 40 hours a week while raising two boys), then I would make it a point to picket outside their offices herein Columbus, OH. We've appealed and appealed and appealed again, changed codes...done everything possible. My father is a Common Pleas Judge here in Ohio, but is still able to handle some legal matters for his immediate family. I am asking him to draft a letter on our behalf to United Healthcare. I'm hoping it will scare the hell out of them, but I doubt it. I'll let you know if they budge at all. Gretchen in Columbus, OH
Guest guest
Hi - My current insurance company is being a pain about covering ST, but there are a lot of stipulations in the plan (ST only covered due to illness or injury, so this may not be a surprise anyways). But anyway, my husband has UHC offerred through his work and we're thinking about switching to that at open enrollment but after reading these posts I'm thinking better of it. His employer's plan document specifically says that speech, even for developmental delays, is covered up to age 18. Is that true for your plans as well and you're still having problems with it? Thanks so much!
