Guest guest Posted February 13, 2002 Report Share Posted February 13, 2002 more good stuff! any take on the quality of frozen varieties of these things? i too like the fruit smoothie route and use frozen versions. in the middle of winter here in the states, those "fresh" blueberries and strawberries from Argentina are probably 10 days old before i get them into my fridge... Guest guest Posted February 16, 2002 Report Share Posted February 16, 2002 here is a better orac list based on oracs per calorie. this is a much fairer comparison. middle column is calories/100 grams and far right oracs/calorie. you will note prunes far down the list when looked at from this perspective which is a truer reflection of its anti=oxidant power. However, prunes are still pretty damn good just not as good.
