Guest guest
Hi, My son Nate has Down syndrome and severe dyspraxia. I have been giving him fish oil--Nordic peach flavored at least 1/2 tsp per day mixed in a smoothie. When I was pregnant I was taking Reliv---and when Nate was born he did awesome and was very healthy. Subsequently, I had heard that Nutrivene was a great supplement for children w/ Down syndrome, yet talked to several moms all over the country who switched from Nutrivene to Reliv for taste issues and felt it worked great. Moving to FL, it was taboo to discuss nutritional supplementation for children w/ Down syndrome within our local DS support group. Sadly, a local hospital refused to give out our literature if there was anything about nutritional supplementation. Yet, the national DS organization is revisiting this issue--I think the research is finally getting through to the medical establishment that nutritional supplements help children with Down syndrome. Hearing all the wonderful reports about Nutriveda---I am wondering how it compares to Reliv or Nutrivene? I have gotten out of the habit of supplementing w/Reliv. Yet, am revisiting the issue myself. If there are any moms who supplement for a child w/ Down syndrome and dyspraxia I'd be interested in your choices. Thanks, Colleen
