Guest guest
from Algin93@... to testimonials@... date Tue, Jun 15, 2010 at 1:08 PM subject Levi's breakthrough I just thought it was time to share what we have seen in the last 3 weeks since starting our 4 1/2 year old son Levi on Nutriiveda. Levi is a sweet little boy who is diagnosed with high functioning autism and severe oral and verbal apraxia (also a milder limb apraxia). We have tried numerous supplements, protocols, and diets on our biomedical journey. Some gave him a little boost and then he would plateau. Other things we tried had no effect or made him worse in some way. I decided to try Nutriiveda after stumbling across the web site while looking for apraxia therapies. I had read 's book more than a year before and trusted her opinions. We started Levi out at one scoop for the first week and saw him perk up and be more vocal. He had a few episodes of stomach cramps that first week and I mistakenly didn't adjust his food intake and overstuffed him a few times. Week 2 we took him to 2 rounded scoops. That is when his speech explosion began. Before Nutriiveda Levi could point to each letter of the alphabet and say the sound of most of them. That 2nd week he suddenly started to point to the letters and saying their letter names. As the week progressed his letter names got even clearer (he is still discovering those tongue muscles he had never used before). By Saturday He was at the fridge where we have magnetic letters spelling out simple words. He stood there and read D-O-G, dog and D-U-C-K, duck. He read the words out loud. He has never been capable of sequencing sounds before now. In the 3rd week we have seen no plateau in Levi's breakthrough. He began counting to 10 as best as he could and now is counting to 20 all day long. He can say the words on his flashcards like baby, car, bear, cat, fish, and more. He is even making animal sounds for the first time ever. Yesterday we took the kids to a birthday party at a bounce place. This is usually torture for Levi as he hates the noise and refuses to touch the inflatables. This time the studied them for a while and with no prompting got into one and began to bounce away with a huge smile on his face. We are so excited to see this miracle for him. We knew he was smart, but he just had it all trapped inside of himself. We can't wait to see what the next month brings. He is making such leaps in his development every day he has put us over the moon. Thanks for all the encouragemnet, Ginny http://pursuitofresearch.org/testimonials.html =====
