Guest guest
All joy and no fun is the point of this article about parenting. I know we all have good and bad days for everything...even hair, but to have a huge article based on they say overwhelming research, including a remark by one of the researchers about a video they shot of a family and watching it is " the very purest form of birth control ever devised. Ever. " Really?! How come we haven't gotten funding for apraxia yet but someone funded people to come to these horrible conclusions?! We all know good and bad parents and situations- how do we know who got to choose the parents? What I found to be the most profound and translate that to true part of this entire article in spite of whatever monies were spent on research was the mention of the movie Babies which documents parents from various parts of the world...and how some ARE happy and calm with their children -mainly because some parents here as the article points out see their child as their boss today. Perhaps as well in the " what do you have planned for this summer for " mentality we forget that kids don't need to have every moment of their life scheduled and planned... by us...I've read that's not healthy for the kids either. So what can we learn from this? Perhaps all should read this article and then go see Babies Article http://nymag.com/news/features/67024/ The trailer for Babies http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1vupEpNjCuY Or share what are your views? I mean the majority of us are not just parents, but parents of special needs children. I mean if the regular bunch thinks they have it rough?! (oh boo hoo I say!) =====
