Teaching phonics might start home schooling

Hi,

Anyone here home school? Or if you child attends school what reading program do

they use? I am trying to figure out how to teach phonics to my son. His speech

is not so bad. We are doing ABA and I'm not so happy with this approach. He is

not happy lately. He has so much anxiety lately. Thinking about ending this ABA

..

We are 2 weeks off of Depakote. We have a doctors office visit next Monday. I

hope she has some wisdom on how to help us or get a second opinion about his

brain spect scan.

Sorry I'm feeling in the dumps today. When my son is upset it just brings me

down. I live in a state that mandates ABA for insurance to pay. We stayed in

this state do to the waivers which are on a long long waiting list and the ABA.

Now I am wanting to move . The only place I have family is St sburg ,Fl .

The schools here are terrible. Just again in our school district a teacher and

aide bound a autistic child's hands and tied him to his chair with a belt and

tilt the chair back. So out of fear I cannot have him go to school. I'm not sure

if this happen to my child if he could tell me this happened to him.
