Guest guest
A few days ago I chanced upon an author of books for dyslexic children on Facebook. I asked her to introduce her books to my readers and the following is what she wrote. Exciting new interactive books for dyslexic children available now! A typical dyslexic boy reading a book? Meet ny. He seems like an ordinary 7 year old boy: He likes to play football, is forever falling over and gashing his knees, pokes his sister when Mum isn't looking, he loves his cats - and his Mum, his computer games - but he hates words. Or at least it seems like words hate him. He finds books boring and, well, hard work. He does not know how to spell and his writing is dreadful. The teacher at school tells him he is lazy and stupid. But he, and his mum, know better. Words are his enemy. Yet on the inside he has great dreams to make his mark on the world. He is creative, good with his hands and very intuitive. But as long as words are his enemy life will always be a struggle. And he certainly does not want to pick up a book and read it. Imagine if there was a book written and designed specially for ny and many other children just like him: .. a book that wants to be read, with beautiful illustrations and language that inspire his imagination .. a book that is interactive and fun .. a book that can be enjoyed with a parent or used as a fun part of a lesson with a teacher Dancing Kites Creative Learning is all about books like this.
