We have been seriously considering getting a case manager (we have CIGNA) (so I

would only have to deal with one person & not spend hours on the phone a day

with insurance people)

Between the mitochondrial disease, Eosiniphillic disease, autism, dysphagia,

IVIG for immune issue  & all of the other medical issues my boys have; I am

pretty much ALWAYS talking  to different people in different departments & no 2

people can ever communicate!  I end up ALWAYS having to re-call & verify that

what I need done is really done & done properly.

When is it appropriate to get a case manager for your health insurance ?

Has anyone had any luck with getting one that was  helpful??

any down sides to getting a case manager?

any positives??

Please email me directly at mom2twoinaz@... as I am not active on the list

any more due to the boys being so involved medically now- I am only on special

notice & wont get your email but truly desire to hear what it is that you have

to tell me.

Thanks so much

Blair

Macey's always had a case manager with BCBS. When she started needing

specialist and precerts and strange meds we asked for one. Definitely has

helped. She fought for our first battery nebulizer and helped ok maceys

transport chair.
