Hello Dream Team Players, Buddies, Families, and Friends,

It's time again for Dream Team Baseball! The weather report for Friday looks

great! For new team members, our memo with the details about the program and

the schedule is attached. Hope to see everyone there!

WHAT: Dream Team Baseball!

DATE: Friday, June 11

TIME: 6:00p.m. - New Registrations***

6:15p.m. - Sign-In for Players and Buddies already registered

6:30p.m. - 8:00p.m. - Baseball Game

*** You can also register in advance at home. I have attached a copy of the

registration form that you can print and complete ahead of time. Please

bring the completed form to the game for our records.

PLACE: The lin Lakes Recreation Complex off of Pulis Avenue. We play

on the Field Of Dreams, which is the baseball field located adjacent to the

playground area. The field is wheelchair and walker accessible.

RSVP: Players and Buddies, PLEASE RSVP by Friday, June 11, before noon,

whether you will or will not be attending the program on Friday evening. We

would really appreciate your cooperation with this. Thank you.

MISCELLANEOUS:

* Reminder to wear your Dream Team t-shirts.

* Please bring a baseball glove if you have one. The Recreation Department

has also provided some gloves for us to use.

WEATHER: Should the game need to be canceled due to inclement weather, we

will send out an email around 5:00p.m. You can also call us at (201)

Welcome To The 2010 Dream Team Baseball Season!!

Our " 5th " Year

The lin Lakes Recreation Department will again be sponsoring

a summer baseball program for special needs children ages 6-18. Opening Day

for " Dream Team " baseball is Friday, June 4, 2010. The program will run

throughout the summer on most Friday evenings. Please see the schedule

below. Dream Team baseball will be held from 6:15p.m.-8:00p.m. at the

lin Lakes Recreation Complex, which is located off of Pulis Avenue. We

play on the Field Of Dreams baseball field which is located adjacent to the

playground.

About The Program:

* This program is for special needs children ages 6-18 who wish to

play

non-competitive baseball. Players are supported by " buddies " at each

game.

* The Field Of Dreams is completely accessible for wheelchairs and

walkers.

* We welcome student volunteers ages 12-18 who would like to be a

" Buddy " for the program. Buddies must be mature, caring, and responsible

individuals with a compassionate nature. They must also be dependable as

this program relies on their participation. Adult volunteers are also

welcome to help with field supervision.

* Family and friends are always welcome at the games to cheer on the

" Dream Team " !

Registration:

In order to participate in the program, all players and buddies must

register with the lin Lakes Recreation Department. Registration is

free. Forms are available at the Recreation Center. Please call the Center

before going for office hours. The telephone number for the Recreation

Center is (201) 847-8200. Registration forms will also be available on

Friday, June 4, Opening Day, beginning at 6:00p.m.

Attendance For Games:

In order for the program to run effectively, it is very important to know

each

week which players and buddies will be attending. Therefore, at the

beginning of

each week, we will send out an email notice to our distribution list asking

for an

RSVP. We would appreciate all responses (both yes and no) to be emailed to

us

by Friday, BEFORE NOON. Thank you for your cooperation!
